Firstly, a pile of washing means by eldest son is home from University - yay!
Secondly, a belated Mother's Day lunch with the same son at our local organic farm - the chickens were huge and the lambs skinny!
Thirdly, a trip to a local fabric store with my friend - my choice of purchases prompted by a recent patchwork day we attended - I posted about it here . I LOVE the material I bought - one with a picture of allotments, the other three pieces show beans and pumpkins - so cute.I just need to decide what to do with it - but that requires a bit of thinking time!!
Fourthly, further progress on my cross stitch Tatty Ted.
Finally, key lime pie made by returning eldest son - DELICIOUS!
Hope you have had a lovely weekend.
xXx
Well I'd be very happy with lazy days like that too. Lovely, and that cake looks absolutely sensational - well done Eldest Son!!! Mel x
ReplyDeleteThank you Mel - I'll pass on your compliments to my son!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that key lime pie looks fantastic. I live in hope that my eldest will grow and go to university and come home and make key lime pies. You've shown me that such things can happen! I LOVE the allotment fabric, I've never seen it before, I'm on the lookout now.
ReplyDeleteCJ, my eldest has changed quite a bit since going to University, just wait until your son goes too - it will come too quickly though!
DeleteThat key lime pie looks delicious. Your eldest son did a great bake--well done to him. It's lovely to get a glimpse of wonderful, lazy days you've had with your family. Can't wait to see what you'll make with those new fabrics. x
ReplyDeleteThe pie was delicious - I'm just a bit worried Marion about all the calories!
