Yarn along 3

Hello,
Joining in with Ginny's yarn along - although I am a bit late this week!

Still knitting my Norwegian Snowflake hat but I can see I have made some progress since last week.

I apologize for the quality of the photo - I took it late at night when I was feeling pretty tired.

As for my book, well I finished reading The Amateur Marriage and I am now reading Sarah Dunant's Sacred Hearts which I am quite enjoying. This is the book we chose for book club. The story is based in a convent in Italy in 1570. Religion, Italy and the 1500's is obviously a common theme of Dunant's books as I have previously read The Birth of Venus which I enjoyed.

I hope you are having a good week.

  1. Beautiful work on the hat, you're making a lovely job of it. The book sounds intriguing. I hope you have a good weekend, with a little knitting and a little reading in it. CJ xx

  3. Hi first time of visiting your blog. The hat you're working on is going to be lovely when it's finished. Your photo did make me smile as I quite often tell my other half I'm going up to bed to read and quite often he'll come up to find my kindle and knitting or crocheting still in hand when I've dosed off to sleep.

  5. The hat is looking good.
We had our book group on Monday and after a couple of really heavy, tricky to read books this months looks much lighter - all the Mum's at the group said this part of the year is too busy for a book that takes a lot of concentration!

    1. I agree, sometimes you just need an easy book, I must admit I'm struggling with this one a bit, it just goes on a bit too much in some places for me

  6. Gosh that looks good. I love Fairisle type work, but can't knit for toffee myself!
